Temporary Closure of Long Ashton Bypass

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the schedule to this notice. This order is required because of maintenance works and will become operative on 2 August 2021 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.


Long Ashton By-Pass (A370).

From Clevedon Road to Colliters Way

Work will commence on 2 August 2021, anticipated to be of five nights in duration between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00.

Alternative routes

Main Road (A370), Farleigh Road (A370), West Town Road (A370), Main Road (A370), Brockley Combe Road, Downside Road, Bristol Road (A38), Potters Hill (A38), Bridgwater Road (A38), Colliters Way (A4174) and vice versa.
