A one-minute National Moment of Reflection will be observed across the UK this Sunday, 18th September, at 8.00pm, the night before Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral. The nationwide silence is to give everyone the opportunity to come together to mourn and reflect on the life and legacy of Her Majesty.
The Moment could be marked privately at home or with friends and neighbours, out on your doorstep or street with neighbours, or at any locally arranged community events and vigils.
Following the minute’s silence, people may wish to celebrate The Queen’s life and legacy with a round of applause or by playing the National Anthem.
Details of larger-scale public events to be held across the country can be found on the government website.
