The Health Walks scheme welcomes over 300 regular walkers a week in and around North Somerset. There are currently Health Walks in Clevedon, Nailsea, Portishead, Weston-Super-Mare, Winscombe, Long Ashton and Yatton.
The walks are led by volunteers, who have all attended Health Walk Leader training, to ensure a safe and enjoyable walk for all. Many of us want to re-connect with others through walking and we hope that a new walking group in Flax Bourton can be established in the future.
The next Health Walk Leader training workshop is on 22nd March from 10.00am-1.00pm in Clevedon and we would like to encourage people to sign up for the training workshop.
The training workshop equips the volunteer leaders with an insight and knowledge about how the scheme functions, provides insurance and covers walk practicalities, group management and other aspects of health and safety.
To book a place on the Health Walk Leader training workshop, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01275 882 731.
